Card made with Posted For You bundle from Stampin' Up in Bumblebee

A Classic Design Using Posted for You

The Posted for You Bundle is another one of my Annual Catalog favorites. For some reason I have always been drawn to postal images and shapes. Maybe they’re just fun to create with… I don’t know.

This card, however, is not screaming creativity! Instead its a classic design: three in a row. This one is always a good layout for smaller images. And you can mix it up with staggered images or diagonal images. It doesn’t have to be three items in a single row. (see my butterfly card) Although, my card is not just three images in a single row, but the same image repeated three times! Not exactly groundbreaking but I think its a really nice card that any one could make or copy.

Tutti-frutti Topiary Tree

The stamp set Vertical Greetings usually catches someone’s eye because the vertical greetings designs are an interesting alternative to regular greetings. That’s one reason I bought it! But I also think the topiary tree designs are fun.

Here is a fun and bright example. The Tutti-futti Sequins (from the 2018 Occasions Catalog) were out on my stamp desk and they inspired the color selection. I used these three markers for the tree: lemon lime twist, pumpkin pie and melon mambo. The vase is bermuda bay.

May your glass always be half full

Well. A short break for a few weeks turned into a long break of a few months away. Where does the time go? I just started introducing new Annual Catalog stamps! Now I’m back today with a card using one of my favorite sets from the new Holiday Catalog, Half Full.

Yes, I like wine, so the images appealed to me. But I also like the fact that this set can be used throughout the year. This card is an example.

How do you like the new 2017 In Colors?

How do you like the new 2017 In Colors? I think they’re wonderful! Here are the colors if you haven’t seen them.

Ribbons and Bitty Bows in the new 2017 In Colors from Stampin' Up! Photo by Paula Cannon for www.vintageandfresh.com

These 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbons are so nice to work with, and aren’t the In Color Bitty Bows cute? The colors are (from the top): Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide. They work really well together, and while I haven’t played too much, they seem to work well with other colors, too.

So far, Lemon Lime Twist is my favorite. (I love it with Bermuda Bay.) But Berry Burst is a quick second. I’m not a pink girl, but I think it has a more purple cast to it. And it’s great with Lemon Lime Twist.

Here’s a card I made with the new stamp set, Crafting Forever, and all five of the new 2017 In Colors. The designer series paper is called Fresh Florals. If it looks familiar, it’s four designs from last year’s Floral Boutique paper (the navy and white DSP). It gives you a nice variety of floral and patterns in all the new colors.
