Happy Birthday to You in Blue
The new Happy Birthday to You stamp set is so fun to color! Today I have a beautiful card, done up in blue, to share with you.
At first, I thought all those flowers on the cake were a little much and not my style. But I was wrong. The Happy Birthday to You cake stamp is one to use for years to come. You can make a simple card or something fancy, and it’s perfect for all the different coloring techniques.
My inspiration for this card is the sample in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I like the blue flowers on the blue lace background of the sample on page 8. But I don’t have the Stitched Lace die to create that background. (more…)

A New Color Combo for You to Try
Are you ready to try a new color combo? My guess is that you have a few go-to colors when you start a new stamping project. I know I do. But I also like to look for new color combinations and give them a try. One source I use, along with half of the population, is Pinterest. The Cake Crazy stamp set seemed like a good place to start since it’s a fun set for multiple colors. Here’s the finished card:

My 15 year journey with Stampin’ Up! – My first workshops
Last month I began sharing my Stampin’ Up! journey as a fun way to celebrate my 15th anniversary as a demonstrator. I explained how I met my upline and decided to join. You can read that post here.
The next step? Hold my first workshop, or party. Um, I hadn’t really thought about that. So I did what most of you would do: I called my sister and my best friend. It went something like this. Guess what I just did? I signed up as a demonstrator with Stampin’ Up! How would like to help me out and host a party? Thankfully they both said yes!
That was the easy part. Now I had to figure out how to hold a party.
