A Butterfly Trio Card Design
The Butterfly Gala stamp set and Butterfly Duet punch will carry over into the new 2019-2020 catalog. Hooray! It’s always good to have some butterfly stamps in your collection because they are good for any number of occasions.
One of the sheets in the Needlepoint Nook designer series paper is covered with embroidered butterflies, so I thought it would be fun to pair that paper with a butterfly stamp. To keep it from being too busy, I used a simple trio pattern card design.

Needlepoint Nook for an Embroidery Sampler
I love the Needlepoint Nook suite in the Occasions catalog! Probably because I used to do a lot of embroidery, but also because it has a slightly vintage and slightly fresh look. The Needle & Thread stamp set is also one of Stampin’ Up’s DistINKtive stamps. The images look like real, stitched, embroidery.
One idea I knew I wanted to try was to make a little embroidery hoop sampler. The easy part was using the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and the Layering Circle Framelits to make the hoop. Deciding on the images and pattern for the sampler took a few tries. That’s what scrap paper is for!

Organizing your Love Today Planner Kit
Have you seen the Love Today Planner Kit in the new catalog? It’s in the kits section, and since offering a planner is new you may have missed it. You can find it on pages 12 and 13. I recently got mine and got it organized. I like it! Over the years I have used a variety of planners, mainly for work. At home I generally rely on a calendar and a notebook for my to-do lists. I’ve tried digital lists, too, but I just like paper. I love that this planner has all the basics in place, but still offers so many creative and organizational possibilities.
Here are the parts and ideas for how you might want to organize and use your planner.
This is everything that comes in the planner kit: the Night of Navy gold foil binder, 12 monthly divider pages, calendar pages, page lifter, sticker sheets, sticky notes, photo protector pages, and two pockets. The binder size is 7-3/4″ x 8-3/4″. It all comes packed up in a nice little box. I suggest you pull everything out and organize the various pages, before you pull some of this and some of that to take blog photos!
