The Wild & Sweet Stamp Set is Sweet
The Wild & Sweet stamp set is indeed a sweet set! It had me at the koala bear, and pandas are popular, but … a raccoon? They seem to have a reputation as pesky critters, although I’ve never personally had any run-ins with them. So, unless you have a friend named Rocky, what are you going to do with a raccoon card? And then I colored one for a sample card, and he has such a sweet face!
I’ve made several cards with this new stamp set, and I’ve used Stampin’ Blends, Watercolor Pencils, and watercolor with inks. They all work great, so if you like to color, you may need the Wild & Sweet stamp set.

Make an Easy Triple Panel Fun Fold Card
This is a really simple fun fold card. I’m sure it has a name, but I have no idea what it is, so I am calling it a Triple Panel Card because the card front has three panels.

A Frosty Cardinal Card from Toile Christmas
I hope you all had a fun holiday celebration. I have one last card using a Holiday Catalog set before it ends. I’m using the Toile Christmas stamp set, which features a beautiful cardinal image. But its not just for Christmas! This card features a frosty cardinal that is a lovely card for any winter occasion, such as thank you or birthdays, or even a get well card.
This is actually a simple card to make.

How to Balance Two Colors on a Card
Balancing two colors can sometimes be harder than it sounds. Monochromatic is easy and multiple colors give you more options. With two colors, you seldom want a 50/50 balance. Here’s how I balanced the two colors in this card.
I love the Rooted in Nature stamp set, and I think the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper that goes with it is beautiful. The pattern with the brown leaves is my favorite of the designs. It’s soft, neutral and has a nice vintage feel to it.
TIP: Using the colors from a package of DSP is a simple way to get color inspiration.
That’s one of the reasons I chose Rich Razzleberry to pair with the browns. While there are two purples in the Nature’s Poem DSP package (Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss), I also had the lovely Rich Razzleberry velvet ribbon, so it was an easy decision as to which purple to use!

A Fresh Fruit Pear for a Classic Card
The Fresh Fruit stamp set is on the new Stampin’ Up! retired list.* I am sorry to see it go. It’s cute and fun and fresh. And I’m not sure why, but I think a pear image is a good stamp image. Maybe because it can fit any season or because it can be used in a vintage or a fresh style. I’ve made several cards using this Fresh Fruit pear image and I thought I’d share one of my favorites.
It’s a pretty easy card to make. I started with a card base of our Whisper White Thick card stock. The card front is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Soft Suede card stock. I cut three 1″ x 4-1/2″ strips of Fruit Stand designer series paper and centered them on the card front.
