Color Revamp with Brusho Crystals

My recent stamping has been focused on my new stamp sets, not on the new Color Revamp colors. So I was happy when this color combo fell quickly into place, quite by accident. I was making a display board with Brusho samples for my catalog launch party and I wanted at least one new card. I have a stash of background papers using various Brusho techniques. When I saw this one I immediately thought “purple daisies!”
First, a quick lesson
on this easy Brusho technique: sprinkle crystals inside an embossing folder; spritz with water; insert a quarter-sheet of card stock; run folder through the Big Shot. You can do this two or three times and each piece of paper will be lighter in color for a variety of background papers.
For this piece, I had combined Yellow and Gamboge (orange) crystals in the Hexagons embossing folder. It’s the second impression run using shimmery white card stock.
And now for the card and the new colors! My purple daisies were made using Gorgeous Grape with the Daisy Delight stamp set. I stamped the center of the flower with Highland Heather. Each flower is a double layer of the stamp, which was punched out with the Daisy Punch. The leaves were stamped using Mossy Meadow for the outline and Granny Apple Green for the inside. I added golf faceted gems for an accent.
I knew the purple would look good with the yellows/oranges, but I wasn’t sure about which color to use for the card base. These are intense colors. My first try was Mango Melody and I was happy that it was a perfect match!
Now I’m ready to play with more of the new colors. I’ve used them alone (see my Granny Apple Green rhino card on my Facebook page) but now I’m thinking about color combinations.
What’s you favorite new color?
