The 2019 In Colors: Rococo Rose

The new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog has been out about a month now and I want to start showcasing the new 2019 In Colors. Today’s card features Rococo Rose. Its a soft, subtle, dusty color of pink. I think it has a nice vintage appeal. I’m not a pink girl but its growing on me!
For my card, I started with a Gray Granite card base and a Rococo Rose sheet of designer series paper from the 2019-2021 In Color 6 x 6 pack. I choose the script pattern for a soft, feminine background.
For my stamping, I selected the Inspiring Iris stamp set. There are three flowers in this set, but I love the iris. To keep the flowers a bit softer, I stamped the outline images in Gray Granite. The flowers are stamped in Rococo Rose, of course, and the leaves in Old Olive. Since this stamp set is photopolymer, its easy to stamp both layers. If you prefer more precision then the Stamparatus works perfectly.
To finish the stamping, I sponged some Rococo Rose ink around the white card stock and layered it on a Gray Granite mat. I had decided to use the white flax ribbon for a small banner, but it was too plain by itself. The “Happy Day” greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays was the right size and a good font. I stamped it in Gray Granite, then very lightly sponged the card stock banner, using a sponge dauber.
The finishing touch, and the bling, comes from the gem, or dot, in the 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots package. While I used some vintage touches, this is a fresh, sweet card. What do you think?
