The 2019 In Colors: Terracotta Tile
July 26, 2019|Posted in: Creativity
I knew the Terracotta Tile In Color would be one of my favorites as soon as I saw it! Warm tones are my favorites, as are the colors of fall. One of the first few cards I made with these new In Colors was this one, using the Terracotta Tile designer series paper and ribbon.
I even gave my cow “red” hair, although I used the light Cajun Craze stampin’ blends pen. She’s from the Over the Moon stamp set. This crazy cow (seriously, of all the possible poses, the splits?) was simply colored, using Stampin’ Blends. Who knows what she’s dreaming of, but I’m certain she is dreaming big.
The 2019-2021 In Color 6×6 designer series paper pack includes this great small gingham pattern. Perfect for a hoe-down or a dreaming cow. For a little contrast, the card base and card mats are crumb cake.
This year’s 2019 In Color ribbons are a bit different in style. They are linen with scalloped edges in each of the five new colors. And, as you can see, they pair wonderfully with the braided linen trim.
The card itself is a simple, classic design. It has a subtle patterned background, one big focal image to the side, and is popped up with stampin’ dimensionals. Plus it has a ribbon embellishment. I think it fits the bill for #simplestamping.
It’s fun to play and get crazy creative, but sometimes all you need is a simple, fun card. Do you like simple stamping?
