Card featuring the reversible stamp set Cup of Christmas from Stampin' Up!

Use Reversible Stamps for More Versatility

The Cup of Christmas stamp set has some great images, but the fun thing about it is that  some of the stamps are reversible. What does that mean and how does it work?

The feature stamps in this set are three mugs: one in polka dots, one in stripes, and one that is an outline. They are the reversible stamps. They are photopolymer, a bit thicker than regular stamps, and you can place each one on your block so that the handle is on either the left of the right.

Can you see the versatility of reversible stamps now?

Two stamped mugs showing the versatility of reversible stamps

For this card, I only used the outline stamp on the white mug. The Cup of Cheer dies has two mugs so you can cut out a left- or right-handed mug. Which is what I did. One Whisper White mug, stamped with Cherry Cobbler and decorated with a Cherry Cobbler poinsettia die from the bundle, and one Cherry Cobbler mug decorated with a Whisper White poinsettia die. For the bows, I used the White Bakers Twine, coloring one piece red with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends pen.

The background paper is from the Wrapped in Plaid designer series paper. This piece with just the Cherry Cobbler, White and Gold keeps it simple but highlights the pairing of the two matching mugs. The greeting is from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set.

These reversible stamps are really two stamps in one. As you can imagine, that makes them very versatile. For more ideas using this fun set, be sure to check my Instagram and Facebook Vintage & Fresh pages.
